Winston (Win) has a history of practical experience in establishing and operating successful franchises dating back over 30 years.
In 1968 he brought back to New Zealand an American franchise which enabled him to establish and operate nation-wide outlets over a five year period. In 1974 Winston was exposed to an engineering and construction concept developed in New Zealand which he believed also had franchising potential and as a consequence sold his existing business. He established a new franchise system throughout New Zealand to expand the construction concept and later entered into the markets of Australia and the USA. In 1986, after successfully managing the company for some twelve years Winston realised a capital profit and sold the business on to investors.
Win brings to Franchize Consultants (NZ) Ltd both broad business and specialist franchise experience together with an international appreciation of franchise operations. His business experiences range from working for large multinationals to founding and developing successful small to medium sized companies. This has involved experience in the manufacturing, retail and service industries. Winston graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Woodbury University, California, U.S.A.
Win’s role as a business consultant involves client consultation and overseeing the development of all franchise documentation required to support the establishment and management of successful franchise operations. He is also active in the Franchise Association of New Zealand (FANZ) being a Past Chairman. He has also lectured in franchising at Auckland University.
