Dr Callum Floyd is Managing Director of Franchize Consultants and a long-term contributor to the Franchise Association of New Zealand. Callum has led franchise system development and improvement projects involving leading local and international organisations. Callum has authored franchising best practice, and both Masters and Doctoral theses in franchising.

Callum has led franchise system development and improvement projects across a range of business sectors involving leading local and international organisations.
From an academic standpoint Callum has unparalleled qualifications, having completed both a Master of Commerce qualification (awarded with first class honors) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) qualification with theses focused on franchising.
His research provides a number of unique and valuable insights of benefit to franchisors, franchise consultants and academics. These insights include (i) the development of an internationally recognised model of franchise system development, and (ii) a contingency model evaluating the effectiveness of numerous alternative franchising arrangements (e.g., single-unit franchising, sequential franchising, area development, area representation and sub franchising).

Callum has an international perspective, having worked outside New Zealand for more than five years. Notably, his role with MSL Location Services Ltd – a global event management company – took him to more than 35 Formula One World Championship races and more than 13 countries.
Callum’s background also included being central to the establishment and operation of Cieffe Limited, a company marketing and distributing advanced digital video management and security systems throughout the United Kingdom and Middle East.
